E-wallet: definition and example

Online payment account (Skrill, Neteller, MiFinity…) that acts as an intermediary between your bank and the casino.

Definition

An electronic wallet (e-wallet) is topped up by card or bank transfer, then used to deposit and often to withdraw, without giving the casino your bank details. Once the casino has approved it, a withdrawal usually reaches the e-wallet faster than a bank account.

Example

A withdrawal to an e-wallet can be available the same day it is approved, then transferred on to your bank.

What to check

Some casinos exclude e-wallet deposits from their bonuses: check the terms of the offer.
