Max win: definition and example

Highest possible win on a slot, expressed as a number of times the bet (5,000x, 10,000x); it is extremely rare.

Definition

The max win is the ceiling on what a spin can pay; once it is reached, the round often stops. It illustrates a slot’s volatility, but the probability of hitting it is tiny.

Example

A max win of 5,000 times the bet, for a €0.20 bet, comes to €1,000.

What to check

Do not choose a slot for its max win: look at its RTP and volatility first.

  • Volatility

    How a slot machine spreads its winnings: small and frequent wins (low volatility) or rare and large ones (high volatility).

  • Bonus buy
