Paytable: definition and example
List of what each combination in a game pays; with the same rules, it is what sets the RTP of a slot or a video poker game.
Definition
The paytable shows what each combination pays for a given bet. In video poker, one unit less on the full house or on the flush is enough to lose more than a point of return.
Example
In Jacks or Better, the 9/6 paytable (full house paying 9 to 1, flush 6 to 1) returns 99.54% with optimal strategy, the 6/5 paytable only 95.00%.
